About

The artistic expression of minorities, whether or not linking to international migrations, and the cultural policies designed and implemented for them are some research areas of the Centre for Ethnic and Migration Studies of the University of Liége.

We also do research on the role of culture and the arts in minority-majority relations, political mobilization, participation and protest. The research projects of our team members are approached from an interdisciplinary perspective, conducted in different fieldworks across the world, and based on qualitative and visual methodology.

This website wants to be a database for audio-visual data and documents including interview transcriptions and recordings, photo galleries, videos and audio clips, all collected in the context of our researches concerning the artistic expression of minorities in different countries.
